Parnell and his fellow musicians create an album that is brimming with thought provoking lyrics and soulful melodies. The song, "For a Song (feat. Hart Parnell)," has laid back vocals that sing the interesting lyrics with emotive style. "Desire (feat. Hart Parnell)," has a smooth rhythmic groove that also features some great guitar riffs. The track, "One For You (feat. Hart Parnell)," has a Bluesy feel as the mellow vocals are complemented by solid drums and soulful guitar hooks. If you are into the musical likes of Bob Dylan or The Traveling Wilburys, then you will enjoy the terrific songs on the album, "Imperfect Beauty."

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Rick Parnell's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Alligator Allegory" by Stravener (Rock Artist from London, England)

Stravener releases another fantastic Classic Rock CD, "Alligator Allegory." Stravener gets back to the roots of Classic Rock and comprises a superb collection of songs that are reminiscent of the '70's. These songs are crisp and clean and are dynamically balanced with mellow vocals, exceptional harmonies, and excellent instrumentation. The title track, "Alligator Allegory," grooves with a free flowing energy as the smooth vocals sing the engaging lyrics. Another song, "The Long Game," has sweet strings that complement the laid back vocals. Taking a turn to a slower beat, the ballad, "Soul Thieves," has emotive lyrics that are sung with a sweet and charming tonality. "Sleepers," is a song with a bouncy tempo, beautiful harmonies, and leaves you with an uplifted spirit. If you are a fan of David Bowie or Rolling Stones, then you will really enjoy the outstanding Classic Rock songs on the album, "Alligator Allegory."

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Stravener's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"LIGHT IT UP" by LIBERTY N' JUSTICE (Classic Rock Artist from United Kingdom)

Liberty N' Justice has a new album, and it is called "Light It Up." This album, unlike their previous, is a studio project with the talents of songwriter/lead-singer Justin Murr featuring guest artists on nearly every song, in an album loaded with 80's metal music that have subtle Christian undertones. "Treading On Serpents" is a pulsating heavy rock song with soaring lyrics as Murr implores his listeners to "come walk with me and tread on serpents!" "Best Time You Never Had" is a gritty hard-rock song, with grisly guitar sounds and intensely thumping drums leading the way. For "Greed" we hear how Murr can belt out powerful lyrics and do it well, in this tenacious song about the evils of greed. This album is created for those who love the sound and attitude of metal rock from the 1980's, and for those who can appreciate a Christian message as well. Musically, if you are a fan of Bon Jovi or Def Leppard then this is an album you would be thoroughly pleased with.

-Sean B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out LIBERTY N' JUSTICE's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"You're All Wrong-EP" by HolliePollock (Classic Rock Artist from Salem, Oregon(OR))

"You're All Wrong-EP" by HolliePollock has a cool alternative sound to it while also having the Classic Rock feel of Zepplin to it as well. The vocals are just as gritty as the instrumentation and lyrics which gives this album an abundance of intensity. The title track, "You're All Wrong" with its dynamic drums and talented bass emulates both lyrically and musically an expression of loneliness that's identifiable with everyone. "13th Sun" is another talent-dense track on the EP with strong and solid guitar work that embellishes the lyrical vocal. The music is on the forefront while the vocals linger behind in an almost spooky, but interesting way. This CD contains 5 tracks of intense Classic Rock music spanning this bands performance of outstanding musical capability. If any kind of Rock music is your preference, then this EP is definitely well worth hearing.

-Trent C. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out HolliePollock 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Number Theory" by Richard Potter (Classic Rock Artist from North Carolina(NC))

Demonstrating a real mastery of his '50's and '60's influences, Richard Potter's latest CD, "Number Theory," is a thoroughly satisfying pop-rock hybrid album that succeeds on all levels. From echoes of '60's-era Neil Diamond (CD-opener, "Tell the Angels I Love You") to American Grafitti-era rock'n'roll ("Love is Blind") to the wonderfully Pulp Fiction-esque feel of the title track (featuring a terrific Herb Albert-inspired trumpet lead), Potter's solid sense of melody and pop dramatics gives his new 10-song collection a real cinematic flair. Elsewhere, "So Long" is a tuneful ballad blending Music Hall-style banjo strumming with the melancholy strains of cello, while "AM Radio (Everything I Need To Know)" is a driving rocker that's as convincing as the singer-songwriter's lighter, more pop-oriented songs. With an abundance of captivating melodies, interesting arrangements and solid performances, "Number Theory" is a terrific CD that showcases Richard Potter's original and contemporary musical vision to best effect.

-Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Review Team
Check out Richard Potter's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Sagittarius Passing Through" by Media Line Road (Classic Rock Artist from Pennsylvania(PA))

Media Line Road mix '60's and '70's-era pop-rock sensibilities with kaleidoscopic flair on their fine new CD, "Sagittarius Passing Through." Recalling classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd ("We're Not From Here"), The Doors ("I've Been Trying"), Moody Blues ("Fly"), and especially, the solo work of George Harrison, the 14-track collection features the kind of echo-y psychedelic effects that defined a lost era of Rock. CD-opener, "Old Belle's Bop," a tremolo-laden pop song with tasty slide licks, boasts more than a hint of George Harrison-like Top 40 charm, while "It's Kinda Creepy Baby" sounds like a demented carnival nightmare (check out the backward guitar overdubs). Re-visiting the Harrison reference, "Prayer" is a spiritual ballad with some excellent interplay between slide and mandolin, and "Good To Have You Back Again" exudes the polished pop of Harrison's work with Jeff Lynne. All told, Media Line Road's "Sagittarius Passing Through" CD is a potent and winning blend of classic and psychedelic rock influences that touches all the right bases.

-Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer team
Check out Media Line Road's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites
It's with this experience they achieve a sound that transcends fads and incorporates refined skills such as three part vocal harmonies and catchy, lyrical melodies. In the song "Signs" the tight vocal layering carries the track with smooth flowing ease, perhaps making even David Crosby take notice. "Stranger In The House" is an eerie ballad with Pink Floyd tendencies featuring striking guitar riffs and solid piano chords. There are allusions to the music that shares the bands history but with an advantage of hindsight. "30 Years Later" is a recommended album for those who wish to re-embark on classic rock music with a fresh perspective.

-Max B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out 5 Track Mind 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

RadioIndy is pleased to present Michael Krebs & Band with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Don’t Dream Your Life"

RadioIndy is pleased to present Michael Krebs & Band with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Don't Dream Your Life"
Michael Krebs & Band delivers an outstanding album, titled "Don't Dream Your Life," which is reminiscent of the classic rock style. This group has all the right pieces in place as they play with uniformity and are well focused. Lead vocalist Michael Krebs has a consistent, deep, and soulful sound quality that brings together these collections of well-written songs. Energetic and dynamic, "Birthdaysong" swirls together great lyrics while the background harmonies and instruments keep the rhythm moving. The acoustic version of the title track "Don't Dream Your Life" projects thought-provoking lyrics and vocals that are touching and sincere. Both versions of this song have a beautiful crisp and clean piano and subtle strings accompaniment. This album features great, original songs that reach well beyond the roots of yesteryear. The infectious opening track, "Love Is Raining Down" is burning with a guitar riff that's not only energetic but is played with intense precision. Not only is Ross a talented vocalist and guitarist but he really captures the audience with his skills on the piano as heard on "Angels In Disguise." As a writer, Ross has captured the essence of memorable lyrics that speak of emotional sentiments and melodies that will take you away to another time and place. A flashback to the '60's rock is heard on the tune "Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Today" with bouncy beats and strong harmonies. Fans of 60's rock won't be disappointed when hearing the classic throwback of rock and roll on the album, "Lock My Feelings In A Jar."

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com reviewer team
Check out Jeff Alan Ross 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Mind's Eye" by Hybrid Ice (Classic Rock Artist from Pennsylvania(PA))

Make no mistake about it: Hybrid Ice plays the kind of classic, over-the-top arena rock whose heyday was decades ago. That said, their mastery of the genre, and the winning combination of great songs with brilliantly-executed performances, make their new CD, "Mind's Eye," one for the ages. Boasting the kind of chops & muscle one associates with Boston, Foreigner, Styx and Journey (to name a few), "Mind's Eye" packs the kind of hooks & musicianship to make 21st century standards of rockers like CD-opener "Fight Another Day," or the powerful "Stop Searching." On the original power ballad front, the band delivers the goods with flair & expertise on "Sadder Day Morn" and "Only the Lonely." No song better sums up Hybrid Ice's return-to-glory story, though, than "Worth the Wait;" with its hooks-laden chorus & soaring harmonies, it's as good as any of Boston's greatest hits. Although "Mind's Eye" is only Hybrid Ice's 3rd album (their 1st was in 1982), one can't help but be amazed that these guys never broke through to national prominence. Their vocals, musicianship, arrangements, production and not least, rock 'n' roll passion, are not only dead-on, they're genre-defining. But as bands like Nickelback lead the classic rock parade in the new millennium, Hybrid Ice's "Mind's Eye" CD need take no back seat when it comes to timeless & compelling rock albums.

-Rice B. & the RadioIndy Reviewer Team
Check out Hybrid Ice 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Almost Got Reel" by Douglas Coleman (Classic Rock Artist from New Hampshire(NH))

Inspired by classic '70's Soft Rock stylings, singer-songwriter Douglas Coleman captures the spirit of the times on his excellent CD, "Almost Got Reel." Channeling the sounds of Gerry Rafferty, Al Stewart, and Chris Rea (among others), Coleman avoids all the pitfalls of the genre (i.e., sappy, cloying) with his original mid and up-tempo piano-led pop songs. CD-opener and title track, "Almost Got Reel," nails it with its minor key melody and a moody after-midnight ambiance that recalls the spirit of "Baker Street," but with its own unique and original flair. "Almost Got Reel" is also reprised in a terrific acoustic guitar-backed version at the end of the disc. Elegant, similarly '70's-influenced harmonies help set the tone on other album highlights as well, with "Blue Anime Eyes," "Night in Montreal," and the power ballad-like, "Gone More Slow," finding Coleman at his most tuneful and engaging best. These days Soft Rock is better known as Adult Contemporary, but the strength of Coleman's music is that he hasn't forgotten the Rock: although there are no screaming guitar solos or over-the-top production flourishes, nonetheless the vibe on "Almost Got Reel" is hardly laid-back. Like the above-named singers best works, Douglas Coleman's "Almost Got Reel" CD strikes a smart balance between folk and pop melodies on this timeless collection of well-crafted and well-executed songs.

-Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Douglas Coleman's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"One Eye Open" by Rick Parnell (Folk Artist from British Columbia, Canada)

Despite the almost lo-fi, demo-like feel of Rick Parnell's "One Eye Open" CD, the strong 6-song debut from this Canadian singer-songwriter has a primal immediacy often filtered out of big-budget, major label projects. And that's good. What Parnell offers are six stripped-down, completely engaging contemporary folk songs featuring his sometimes raspy vocals over the sparest of guitar strumming. In its directness and simple arrangements "One Eye Open" recalls Bon Iver's breakthrough in '08 as well as the songs and performances of such troubadours as Richard Buckner or Jeff Buckley. But Parnell is an original, and on tuneful songs like "Everybody's Wrong" and "I'm Coming Home" his rough-hewn voice is as evocative as the words that spill out in his soulful delivery. "Come Saturday," has a bit more edge, thanks to a slyly subdued slide accompaniment, but it is no less pleasing, and the last track, "One More Song" offers just the right touch of melancholy to close the CD. Rick Parnell's "One Eye Open" CD is a cross-generational work that owes a debt to classic singer-songwriter stylists, but is also completely right for contemporary listeners of any generation.

- Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Rick Parnell's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Don't Dream Your Life" by Michael Krebs & Band (Classic Rock Artist from Germany)

Buoyed by a big beat-infused rhythm section firing on all cylinders, "Television" features 12 original songs that rarely let up. But despite an almost relentless fury, The Monkey Bones deftly balance many of their riff-heavy songs with effective and at times, subtle background vocals that add dimension and nuance to a style not always noted for such attributes. Notably, "Sunny Rays" shows the band can deliver the arena rock ballad as needed while "Hammer Comin' Down" offers up a rich vein of Southern Rock swagger. Delivered with a snarl & bravado as fitting as it is emblematic, the casually thrown out line "it's all fair in love and rock & roll" in the CD's closer, "Cross-Eyed," is more than a fair summary of "Television," it's a veritable battle cry.

-Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Monkey Bones's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"30 Years Later" by 5 Track Mind (Classsic Rock Artist from New Jersey(NJ))

5 Track Mind's CD, "30 Years Later" is an assembly of talented musicians from around the globe who began playing together…30 years ago.
Alan Bernhoft has captured the style and feel of the legendary British pop band "The Beatles" with his appropriately titled album "Beatlesque One." His approach is remarkably reminiscent of the early Beatles style while at the same time fresh and original, paying homage to the group but spinning the music is his own creative and unique way. He portrays the atmosphere of the 1960s immediately and effectively on this album with "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby," a stunning opener that perfectly encapsulates the sound of the era that fused British pop with American rock-n-roll. The songs are well-written and skillfully produced, with clever arrangements and spirited musical performances. Listen to his stylish and accurate vocals on the lively and cheerful "Playdate," and his almost eerie resemblance to the lighthearted side of Paul McCartney on "Sunshine Girl" and "Someday ('08 Mix)." Another highlight is "Winter Ocean Mary Go Round ('08 Mix)," which is symbolic of the style of John Lennon. Bernhoft's introspective writing displays a truly uncanny resemblance to many aspects of The Beatles music, capturing their essence in both spirit and sound. His approach is remarkably reminiscent of the early Beatles style while at the same time fresh and original, paying homage to the group but spinning the music is his own creative and unique way. As the album title suggests, the influence of '60s psychedelia and the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa is well apparent, as these guys turn out one rhythm heavy jam after another. The entire band is tight, and they understand the relationship of their instruments. "Stay Groovy" is a very raw sounding album, as the band recorded it live in studio. You'll enjoy the fact that the band lets you hear their music as it is. It's essentially how it would sound if you saw Totemzombies live, since each track appears to be done in one take and at times seems to be improvisational. "Watermelon" kicks things off with a grooving bass line, banging drums, and wailing guitar solos. "Cameleon" slows things down a bit and features more incredible guitar work. "Butterfly" closes things out with a quirky guitar riff and some nice work on the drums. With "Stay Groovy," Totemzombies are trying to keep the psychedelic movement alive through stunning guitar riffs and all-out jams. If you like '60s psychedelia and a tight instrumental rock sound, "Stay Groovy" with the Totemzombies.
-William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Totemzombies's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

“Rockabilly Boy” by Richie Copalello (Classic Rock Artist from Illinois(IL))

"Rockabilly Boy" is a country/rockabilly album with blues elements from Richie Copalello. With "Rockabilly Boy," Copalello digs deep into his multi-instrumentalist repertoire as he plays the drums and guitar on each track, as well as the harmonica, organ, piano, and slide guitar. His vocals, musical styling, and lyrics combine to create a nice musical medium between country and traditional rockabilly. He sings about drinking, dancing, and pick-up trucks and is capable of singing like traditional rockabilly artists or with a crooning country twang similar to Conway Twitty. Copalello put a good deal of effort into making the album sound vintage, and the listener could easily mistake this album for coming straight out of the 1950s. "Whiskey, Whiskey" is a playfully bitter song, as Copalello sings, "Whiskey, whiskey, I thought you was my friend." "Slippery Shoes" is a straight-up rockabilly song, lyrically and musically and makes you feel as though you should be surrounded by poodle skirts. "These Words" effectively builds to a nice 2-part harmonized part that has that authentic 50s sound that is a trademark of this CD.. Overall, "Rockabilly Boy" is a good album that shows Copalello's impressive musical talent, and that uses creative production to capture the sound of decades past. Fans of '50s rock music and rockabilly music, check out "Rockabilly Boy."
-William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Rockabilly Richie Copalello's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites
